The Local Government Transparency Code 2015, issued by the Department for Communities & Local Government in September 2015, set out a number of principles for local authorities which were intended to underpin best practice in the creation of greater transparency through the publication of public data. One of the key requirements was the publication of data on senior employee salaries above £58,200.
